Service Description

IV hydration for hyperemesis gravidarum (a condition characterized by severe nausea and vomiting during pregnancy- focuses on replenishing fluids, electrolytes and nutrients lost due to persistent vomiting. It is administered through an IV line, delivering relief directly through the bloodstream for faster, more effective results than oral intake alone. The base infusion usually includes normal saline to restore hydration and electrolytes. This can help reduce dehydration symptoms like fatigue, dizziness, and dry mouth, while supporting both mom and baby. A typical session might be 1000ml saline bag infused over 30-60 minutes and IV Zofran to treat nausea and vomiting, depending on our Hydravive provider's orders.
